Cant mount android anymore

Post by cybervigilante »

I used to be able to connect to my android tablet and transfer files, but now I can't. Did something change in Mint? Now it says it can't mount the device. Is there some way of mounting it manually?

What I do may help you. Plug in the USB charging cable to your android and the other end to your computer. On the Android, switch it on and pull down the menu from the top where it says 'charging from USB'. Select 'transfer files from' and select whichever type you want. Then on your computer in Explorer select the Android and your files should be accessible.

I had the same problem after an Android update. turtlebay has the solution.
