Upgrading from 18.3 to 19 BETA

Post by DareDevil73 » Sun Jun 10, 2018 11:47 am

I'm trying, on a virtual machine, to upgrade a 18.3 to the 19-BETA.

I have tried to different scenarios:

I'm using dracut instead of initramfs-tools. Some of the post installation script try to invoke dracut with the -u parameter used instead by update-initramfs, stopping so the upgrade process.

Unable to login

I rolled back to initramfs tools, then upgraded the OS, but I cannot login by Lightdm: it accepts my password, then go back to the lightdm scripts.

Are those issues caused by the BETA or I have to expect them in the final release too?

Thank you!
