For what reason firefox is not vanilla for mint, ubuntu?

Post by usemame »

I noticed one interesting detail, firefox in Mint special for mint, and in ubuntu the same thing "firefox for ubuntu" in about screen. Why distro maintainers did this? I hope this is not the same story as recently facebook user data collecting/stealing scandal...

If you want everything stock, a distro like Arch might be more to your taste.

Nope. It's real easy to undo everything, no reason to change distros.
