Hi,
I have recently switched to Linux Mint from Windows 10. I used to use a windows 10 feature called "Projecting to this pc", in which I could easily mirror my android smartphone's screen to my Windows 10 laptop without using any casting device like Google Chromecast. I want to know if there is any such option in Linux?

Re: Projecting to the pc
I'm not an expert on this but have you tried this method, https://www.maketecheasier.com/cast-and ... x-desktop/ .

Yes, I’ve tried these third party android apps. They work fine for basic work but they all seem to lag when a video is played. I watch a lot of Youtube so they keep lagging while casting with these apps. Somehow Windows 10 work flawlessly and I've kept it only for that purpose. I wish there was a workaround for Linux or we could get that kind of feature in upcoming builds so that I could permanently delete Windows for good.turtlebay wrote: ⤴Fri Jul 06, 2018 9:20 pm I'm not an expert on this but have you tried this method, https://www.maketecheasier.com/cast-and ... x-desktop/ .

Some other options are shown here ... https://techwiser.com/cast-your-android-screen/
Unfortunately as the article states, unless you're using a Chromecast or something similar, you'll likely see some lag.
If you're using a "smart" TV, Window$ 10 is likely using Miracast to project to it ...
