Update manager failing to connect to mirror service

Post by Noo too Mint »

Hi,
Apologies if I put this in the wrong area but my Update manager was failing to connect to the University of Kent mirror service to update due to some missing code at their end. I have changed my mirror service to "UKfast" via synaptic and it's working fine now but I don't know how to notify the University of Kent of the incomplete code on their Linux Mint 18.1 Serena mirror service.

Perhaps an administrator can pick this up and notify the relevant people?

And you will also get that type of error when either Ubuntu or Mint are in the process of updating their servers. Usually back to normal within hours. :)
