Does it need a handshake though? I have no quarrel with either of you, nor do I have a problem with anything that was said despite not agreeing with it all. Let's all agree to try and be more mindful of the next guy and leave it at that tbh.

In my system (see my signature) I go to Start Menu > Administration > Users and Groups > Users tab, select user and on the right can change account type, account name, password.

By the way, what you are looking to change is the user account name, not the computer name. The form is <user>@<computer>.
