[SOLVED] How to keep live version from looking for things in cdrom://?

Post by sh4dow »

I can't do things like apt update or use the Driver Manager because I keep getting error messages that things at cdrom:// can't be found.
Which I guess isn't a shocker considering that I have no cdrom drive...

Is there a way to change this?

Check the file below:

Code: Select all

$ cat /etc/apt/sources.list
#deb cdrom:[Linux Mint 18.3 _Sylvia_ - Release amd64 20171129]/ xenial contrib main non-free
If there's no "#" on the cdrom line, stick one there. You can also synaptic->settings->repos->Additional->un-select it.

Or , easier yet, open and login to the Software Sources program, and simply un-check the checkbox for the cdrom. :)
