RDP Connection on Mint

Post by truedat »

Hi Guys,

Can anyone advise on the best way to set up remote access to a mint machine via RDP (Windows client)?

Alot of only guides use VNC to connect but I'd much more prefer to use an RDP compatible package (such as xRDP along with a 2D desktop) in order to remote configure and administrate the computer.

Thanks.

Remmina seems to be a popular choice.

Is there an RDP exclusive solution to remoting on?

My experience of using VNC has always been a bit sketchy.

I don't use any other OS other than Windows on a day to day basis.

Thanks

Exclusively RDP? I don't know that. I do know that Remmina supports RDP, as well as VNC, and a couple of other protocols if I'm not mistaken.
