remap mouse button to specific functions in software

Post by sushiyogurt »

logitech master mx 2s have it's own software that could handle button remapping in windows, and from what I researched it doesnt work on linunx. I could find some old videos showing how to remap the functions for the extra buttons, but in the logitech software, we could even specify the functions to be application specific, for example set the middle button to normally close a program, but in chrome it can be set to only close the current tab. so is there any way to do this in mint?
