[SOLVED] file dialog without .hidden files

Post by spaceagejohnny »

is there a way to globally not list hidden files in a program's file dialog? I can turn on/off hidden files in NEMO. When I first installed Mint - 6 mos ago - this was not a problem, but now after installing numerous programs I have a big long list of hidden files that I would not like to see inside a program's file dialog.
Thanks,
Johnny
