Video problems on Facebook + How to update to Ver 19

Post by starplanet » Tue Aug 14, 2018 2:39 pm

I installed Mint for a friend.
He loves it.
Except, videos on Facebook don't work.
I readup and saw a few posts saying something about codec.
On the startup, there is a link for 'multimedia codec'.
After a few tries, 'something for installed'.

But the problem on Facebook still exists.
What am I doing wrong?

How do I update to Ver 19?
I guess I have the previous latest last version of 18 - I only installed about 3 weeks ago.

If I wanted to overwrite and do a complete reinstall, how would I do this? Boot up from the CD or USB?
Just curious to know.

Thanks.

If those streaming services use DRM, you must enable DRM in Firefox's settings: Preferences -> General -> Play DRM-controlled content...DAMIEN
