19 XFCE Doesn't Wake Up After Suspention

Post by vw98075 » Thu Aug 16, 2018 10:15 pm

I just installed the Linux Mint 19 XFCE on a new Dell laptop. After I suspend the OS, it won't wake up. The screen is black no mattter how many times I push the laptop start button. I have to shut down the laptop to get the OS up.

How to fix this problem?

as always - - can you supply some Hardware Information:
- type this into Terminal:

Code: Select all

inxi -Fxz
and copy the result of that, back here, on your next post.

I am also having this problem after installing LM Tara, I think it worked fine on 18.3 but I'd prefer not to have to downgrade if there is a fix.

I have Inspiron 3451 with Intel Atom integrated graphics.

There are some tips, that can help in certain cases. Tweaking network drivers or changing kernel version might help some. One link which describes possibly helpful tips is found below.
