[SOLVED] No sound on HP Pavilion 15 AMD

Yo, returning Linux greenhand. I could never get sound to work but Linux is gonna be my daily driver on this laptop so it bugs me that I can't get sound pumping.
I'm using an HP Pavilion 15 laptop with an AMD processor, hardware # HP 15-cd040wm using 64-bit Linux mint 19 Tara. I've been screwing around in the forums and google trying to get sound to work. Alsa, Pavucontrol, 3rd party drivers, etc etc. Nothing is getting sound pumping. All the volume mixers show the sound bar moving but the speakers aren't making noise and I'm out of ideas.

I'm using Cinnamon but have also had this problem with KDE and GNOME flavors. I am at a complete loss here.

Play some music, and while it's playing, enter this command in a terminal: pacmd list-sinks

Heyo. After four reboots the sound just started working. I haven't a clue why, as I didn't change any settings myself between the third and fourth reboot. Here's that output though. Maybe we can figure out why in case I ever have to go through this again.

No, unfortunately we can't use that output to diagnose the problem when it's working
