SOLVED Installed Cinnamon 19 PC won't boot

Post by ADee » Tue Sep 25, 2018 1:42 pm

Hello Again,

I got a HP 800G1 Tower with Intel 4790 processor 16GB of RAM, and I installed Cinnamon 19. When it came time to remove the USB stick and reboot, which I did, I get a black screen saying :

Attempting Boot From CD-ROM
Attempting Boot From Hard Drive

What did I do wrong? Is there an easy fix? I removed the HDD the PC came with which still has Win 10 on it and replaced it with a larger HDD and did a clean install. I made no changes in the BIOS.

Once again thanks in advance.

I went into the Bios and moved SATA drive 0 to the top. It worked.
