Hello, marianp.

Welcome aboard the Linux Mint forum. :)

About your wifi issue:
Please, share a complete inxi -Fxz report with us. To do so open a terminal window. Execute the commandline

Code: Select all

inxi -Fxz
exactly as it has been typed here. Mark the complete inxi output and paste it into your next reply.
This will give us a concise overview on your hardware, including your network adapters.

Best regards,

Bearing in mind I know little about Linux but am interested to learn I like to guess what the outcome of some threads will be. (Normally I have no idea, or I'm wrong).
In this case I googled 'toshiba NB200 ubuntu wifi'
It seems like the advice from 2009 is make sure wifi is enabled in Windows XP before you install linux, as you can't turn it on afterwards.
There are some threads with possible solutions, but the instructions given may not work in your up-to-date LinuxMint, so I won't link to them.
I know even less about Windows than I do about Linux, but hopefully someone may be along to give you pointers about running XP from a USB stick for as long as it takes to turn Wifi on.
(Ubuntu threads say it wont turn on with Windows 7)
Best of luck
Bob

Hello, marianp.

As the person, who started this thread, you can mark it [solved] yourself.
Yet, doing so will leave the question unanswered, what the steps to solution were.
2 posts above you still write, wifi does not work.
In the next post you tell that wifi works, but without explaining how you made it work.
Without this explanation the whole thread remains a mystery.

Best regards,
Karl
