Linux Mint 17 Qiana - Update Manager problem GBG error

Post by RaulDuke78 » Tue Oct 16, 2018 5:00 pm

So in the last week the update manager has halted on an error. "Could not download all repository indexes"
GPG error: http://archive.getdeb.net saucy-getdeb InRelease: Clearsigned file isn't valid, got 'NODATA' (does the network require authentication?)
The error above is the what comes up when I try to refresh the update manager.

Please note that I have tried all the basic fixes like Fix Problems with MergeLists commands and the error still shows up.

Strangely though I am still getting most updates to populate and they still install. When I refresh, error screen always shows up, but then when I close error screen it will either show some updates or the check mark indicating you system is up to date. No matter what the error is reported first.

Output of command inix -Sr is as follows...

Code: Select all

System: Host: drgonzo-Inspiron-530s Kernel: 3.13.0-24-lowlatency i686 (32 bit)

Let me know how to proceed from here and I appreciate any help on this matter, thanks.

Use the Software Sources program to delete/disable the Getdeb repository. The Getdeb repos were taken down a few years ago.
