pidgin 2.5.7

hey im trying to update to pidgin 2.5.7 since the yahoo problems are supposed to be fixed with it... but im having problems... it doesnt show up in the package manager so im not sure if i need to add to the repos or what i would need to do here? i can find the file for download so i know it exists... can someone help me out with this?

Add this to your repository "deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/pidgin-developers/ppa/ubuntu/ jaunty main" using Synaptic.

Them open your terminal and type "sudo apt-key adv --recv-keys --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com \ 67265eb522bdd6b1c69e66ed7fb8bee0a1f196a8"

Click "refresh" in synaptic and you'll be able to upgrade to 2.5.7

having problems with pidgin and i did this adding of repo in synaptic... refresh... search pidgin and still 2.5.5 is the version option to install... (w/c im having problems with yahoo :cry: )

it works!!! i did it manually.... thank you so mch. ive been having this problem for a while. thanks a lot for the tip
