How to install on VPS

Post by nudylady » Fri Nov 16, 2018 1:43 pm

I read a few installation tutorials.
All of them 1st step is: install Linux Mint with a USB stick.
How do I install on a VPS?

I'm only guessing. But isn't it so the provider offers a number of options for the VPS: e.g. Windows server, RedHat, BSD, etc...?
I guess, it is asking if the Linux Mint ISO can be used for the VPS.
Unless stated otherwise Mint 18.3-64 XFCE

I am trying to guess as well. As far as I know, a VPS is a server, but Mint is for desktop use. If you have a VPS, you can install a server distribution (Ubuntu, Debian, others), but I fail to see what you could do with a GUI installation ?
