Monitor Refresh Rate

Hi there
i have installed Linux mint 19 Cinnamon on my PC. i have a CRT monitor connected to my Nvidia graphic card's DVI port through a connector. But there is a unknown DVI error on my screen. on windows 10 i had no problem. The screen is flickering and it's very annoying. i should be able to change the refresh rate to 85hz but there is no such option in xserver. I found this topic and used the config the answer said:

Then i realized the config below only works like a charm on 4.15.0-20 Linux Kernel.

But i am updated to 4.15.0.42 kernel and these codes don't work when this kernel is active. so i followed the answer and changed the Modeline in Monitor section and added this line:

With this line the refresh rate is ok on 4.15.0.42 but there is another problem. the margin on the left side is too much. Honestly i don't know what the numbers mean in Modeline but i think it has something to do with them. can you tell me what's wrong?

i found the right numbers for the my monitors width and height. now these lines makes it all ok in kernel 4.15.0-20
but still cant go to log in screen in kernel 4.15.0.42
