Unable to repair dual boot grub

Post by ineuw »

Due to a Windows 10 repair procedure, Grub was overwritten by Windows. After a number of attempts with Yann's boot-repair tool, got the Grub menu back. I now have access to LM 19.1 and this works fine, but windows 10 won't boot. It just keeps looping between the Grub menu and the Windows repair options, which also could not repair the problem. Nor could it be fixed with the Windows 10 live disc boot repair tool.

This is the boot repair report at paste.ubuntu: http://paste.ubuntu.com/p/396K73hTbY/

Pjotr, thanks so much for the links, and apologize for the delay in replying. There were some problems with the Windows installation because those instructions do not work universally on ever release of Windows 10, (like release version 1803) but there were other posts on how to correct it . Now I am going to repair LM 19.1. Thanks again.
