Hello there!
I am a total newbie on Linux. I installed Linux Mint 19 Cinnamon on an old acer laptop and deleted my old Win 7 install.
Everything is pretty great, except for the fact that when i plug in my headphones through the jack the system does not detect them. I've tried multiple headphones and the speaker sound is normal. Do i need to tinker with pulseaudio or something?
thanks for your time!!

Re: Headphones have no audio
Have you tried going to the Control Center and adjusting the sound settings?

See if your headphones are muted in alsamixer:
