fortunately there is this sentence "All Gurus once were Newbies "....
In my attempt to get Japanese writing running in LM18.3 KDE using IBUS-Anthy I found an helpful looking article in ArchLinux: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/IBus
Following this article I need to find
- ~/.bashrc
- ~/.xprofile
- ~/.xsession
- ~/.xinitrc
What I find under /Home is the file ".bashrc"
Questions:
1 - Where can I find the 4 above-mentioned files and how?
2 - Is the file found under /Home the same as "~/.bashrc"
3 - What does the "=" in front of "/" mean?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Note for all users of IBUS-Anthy:
In LM 17.3 KDE getting Japanese writing up and running was a 5 min task and it runs perfectly fine.
Also 5min were needed in LM 19.1 MATE.
It took me a bit longer to Fcitx-Mozc runningn in LM 19.0 Cinnamon; but Fcitx-Mozc has the drawback that the input method needs to be reset to hiranaga with the mouse.
My super-dream is LM 19.3 KDE which enables the IBUS-Anthy setup in 5 min as before; my dream is LM 20.0 KDE and a time requirement of 5min to get IBUS-Anthy running.
