Linux boots into terminal ????? Help please
So I have been using mint on my pc as a dual boot (windows 10) for a while and this time it just boots into the terminal. I typed in the user and pass and then tried “startx” and that didn’t work it just gives me error messages. I’ve researched this on the internet for a little while now and everything I’ve tried doesn’t work. Any help is greatly appreciated

Re: Linux boots into terminal ????? Help please
You boot the live CD from USB stick, run inxi -Fxz in the terminal, post the text output here. Easy. You can't diagnose these problems without some decent system info.

Re: Linux boots into terminal ????? Help please
well image you posted of the xserver error I am wondering if your user permission got goofed up?
Try sudo startx, but if it loads up your not going to want to use it like that. This just rules out a few things.
