Whats up Im new to Linux and was wondering were I can find some good information about how to use Linux? Ive read the pdf of LinuxMint but am looking to learn more about using the terminal as well as how to install software and the difference between using the software manager and the package manager. Is it okay to just read all the tutorials in the Ubuntu forums? Ive been there and seen they have a ton of links for Noobs and figured mostly all will work since Mint is based upon Ubuntu... I also need help learning how to diagnose and fix problems in Mint, I can readily fix problems in Windows so with the right material Ill learn linux with no problem. Ive noticed that all of the info I find in most forums just assumes that you know how to use the Terminal and how to edit things which I dont making the information meaningles. Any help wulld be great guys..

99% of the time Ubuntu guides/tutorials apply to Mint.

For terminal this seems good:

One of the absolute best general Linux tutorials is the Rute:
