how do I get rid of quora and just get a normal mint desktop

If you tell us how you got quora, that might help us tell you how to get rid of it. I don't see it available for install in the Mint/Ubuntu repos, nor do I find anything on the web that suggests that quora might be an alternative desktop for Linux. So, help us out here.

I just installed manjaro version of mint 17.3 and quora was there. Don't like it, want a standard desktop of mint 17.3

Well, you can't expect to get a Mint desktop when you install Manjaro or some other distro!

And I'm not sure what you mean by "manjaro version of mint 17.3." To me, that sounds like "I want a Chevrolet version of Ford."

Is it possible you mean "Manjaro Cinnamon"
Last I heard that was a community effort over there.
