Cannot see open Wine programs

Cannot see open Wine programs

Dear friends:

I am not the brightest light in the firmament. Hopefully, somebody can help me with this. I have successfully installed Wine 4.0 and have installed about a dozen of my Windoze programs, mostly related to Bible study and also book writing. While they are all working very well, I do have a big problem. Let's say I have WriteWay Pro open in WIne and have need to switch over to Google Chrome to look up some info. The WirteWay Pro window disappears and I can see no way of getting back to it. If I go to WIne and attempt to reopen it, I get a message saying it is already open. :shock: :?

HELP PLEASE!

P. S.: When I type $ sudo winecfg
[sudo] password for *******

I get the following strange answer:

wine: /home/steve/.wine is not owned by you

I have run the following, but nothing changes.:

sudo chown -R $USER: ~/.wine
