This may not be the forum for this problem but there are a lot of good
members here that may help me.
What is the vi command to delete from beginning of line "200* to end of line globally"

TIA

Do you want to delete 200*in a particular line? Is it the question?

In command mode (hit Esc to get there), type ":200,$d" then press Enter. In command mode, "." repesents the line you are on, "$" represents the last line, and "%" represents all lines.
