Has been frequently crashing and I have to force a restart at least once a day.
Now it's asking me to login and enter password but stars to be in terminal rather than the usual page. I don't know what to do here. My usual password doesn't work and I don't know what the login is.
It says:

Does it come up with an error just before it goes into terminal,
for instance cinnamon session cinnamon error

I think I went to grub options and recovery mode then it said it was going to reboot and went to that screen
