If you are using Mint 64 bits, please make sure that your laptop is 64 bit too. 64 bit mint won't work with 32 bit machine you will require 32 bit version.
If I have helped you solve a problem, please add [SOLVED] to your first post title, it helps other users looking for help, and keeps the forum clean.

I am using Mint 19.2 Cinnamon 64 bit with AMD A8/7410 processor . Memory 8GB

I'm not sure what's causing the problem, but a couple of things to note. If it's an old laptop, Mint Mate or Xfce might be a better choice than Cinnamon. Also, you don't want 17.3 which no longer gets updates. Go with 18 or 19.

Hello and thank you for the reply. Both my laptop and the Linux installer are 64 bit

Hello and thank you for the reply. It is in fact an old laptop, and I tried to install Mint Mate on your advice. It also fails in the exact same fashion.

Did you choose the option to erase disk and install Mint? Did this laptop come from factory with Win 10 or 7?

Have you tried plugging that stick into a different USB port? Make sure nothing else is plugged into any USB port.

initramfs casper mount can't find /dev/sr0.

don't use YUMI, or maybe you can succeed if you end up having to manually fix some configs on there before you try to install or even boot for that matter.

You can check here instead: Create the bootable media: https://linuxmint-installation-guide.re ... en/latest/
