[SOLVED] How can I run dbus-monitor at start-up?

Post by markfilipak » Mon Oct 14, 2019 4:09 pm

SOLUTION:
gnome-terminal -e "dbus-monitor \"interface='org.freedesktop.Notifications', member='Notify'\""

In 'Startup Applications', 'Add', 'Custom command',
'Name:' (I named it "Dbus monitor" because that's what it does)
'Command:' gnome-terminal -e "dbus-monitor \"interface='org.freedesktop.Notifications', member='Notify'\""

Note the -e switch and the escaped, internal dbl-quotes \".
