Opening page to one user

Post by jamesofyorkshire »

Hello.

I have a PC at my aged mother's. She uses it to play Solitaire.

When the PC is started, it goes to users - me and her. How can I get it to go straight to her account? I'm not always around to do it for her.

Code: Select all

sudo nano /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf
And change the line autologin-user = XXX
I did not check how it works, I did this through the graphical interface. There still had to enter a password

If you are using cinnamon:

Open the Menu => Administration => login Window => Users tab = > fill out username and password in the Automatic login section, then reboot.
Intel i7 6-core 5820k overclocked to 4.4Ghz; 64GB ram
