How do you blur out certain fields of information on screenshot image?

Open the image that you want to post in Gimp or a similar program. Find the portion you want to obliterate, obliterate it, then save the file and export it or save over the original copy or rename it as #2 if you want to keep the original. Then close Gimp. Open the same image up in another image program (such as gThumb) to check to see that everything looks the way you want. If everything is A-Okay, then close out and post it where you want. it actually takes longer to describe this as actually doing it, lol.
