Sound problems with iMac 27 inch

Post by Bick »

Good morning.
I do hope that an expert can give me some advice.
I've installed Cinnamon on my iMac.
Everything works apart from the sound output.
I attach the results of inxi -Fxz

Hi Bick.

Let's see the output of aplay -l, pacmd list-cards, and dmesg | grep snd please.

Re: Sound problems with iMac 27 inch

Post by lapagalia »

I installed Linux Mint 20 (with Ubuntu the same thing happened to me) on a 27 inch iMac, Intel© processor Core™ i7-7700K CPU @ 4.20GHz × 4. Everything went perfectly, except for one serious problem: no sound. I've been looking at the website for several days and I've done some tests, but it still doesn't have any sound. I pass you the following information:

I searched for a driver for the Intel 100 Series/c230 and couldn't find a place to download it.
Please, I need your help.
A lot of thanks.

Hi lapagalia,

Please run this and post the output:

Code: Select all

curl https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/pulseaudio/pulseaudio/raw/master/src/utils/pa-info?inline=false | bash | nc termbin.com 9999
The last line of output will have a URL pointing to your sound setup.
