[Solved] video settings shell scripts are denied access

Post by ineuw »

I have a script to adjust the video settings which I used for years. The file is located in the /home/ineuw folder. Now, the script is denied access, but copy and paste them into the terminal line by line works. Also checked the ownership of all files in the folder and they are all owned by ineuw.

Code: Select all

#!/bin/bash
# stored in /media/data/Google Drive/linux/scripts/res_1664x936.sh
# true 16x9

xrandr --newmode "1664x936_59.00"  126.10  1664 1760 1936 2208  936 937 940 968  -HSync +Vsync
xrandr --addmode HDMI-1 "1664x936_59.00"
xrandr --output HDMI-1 --mode "1664x936_59.00"

Right click the script in the file manager > properties and check it is set to be executable.

Yes, that's what I've done before posting. I own them all.
