Which tutorial?

I use rclone - https://rclone.org/

along with rclonesync - https://github.com/cjnaz/rclonesync-V2

to backup to various cloud storage providers including Google Drive.
For custom Nemo actions, useful scripts for the Cinnamon desktop, and Cinnamox themes visit my Github pages.

I trust anything Google about as far as I can spit upwind in a class 5 hurricane. Any data you put on Google drive will be spied on by Google and will be used and/or sold by Google for advertising.

You would be far better off by simply have more than one backup drive; one you keep at home and a duplicate one you keep offsite somewhere.

I make also some personal progress

the Mint backup tool is able to store in the Google drive when the connected => very good

But, because otherwise this post will be closed  , with this tool it is not possible to backup something which is not in your personal folder

My data are on a separate drive .....so accessible through /media/....
I try with a synbolic link( my old unix course ) but no way
