Color Profiles on Multiple Monitors

Post by ke4436 »

I am running 3 LG monitors (same type) on Mint 19.3 and have calibrated each using DisplayCAL. The problem I have is assigning the individual color profiles to each monitor. When I open Color, it only shows one device - LG Electronics - LG FULL HD, I would have expected it to show the three monitors, as found in Display, DP-3, DP-1, DP-5
My graphics card is an nVidia GTX1060 which is driving the 3 monitors. Everything works very well, accept the ability to add color correction. There are video's showing this being done on other distributions, so I'm hoping this will be possible with Mint.
Appreciate any help, it is beyond me. Thanks.

Hi ke4436

do you happen to have any links to these videos?
Linux Mint 18.3 Sylvia (Mate) 32-bit - Acer D250 Netbook (Intel Atom N270, 2 GB RAM, 120 GB SSD)
Linux Mint 17.3 Rosa (Mate) 64-bit - MacBook Pro 15" (Intel Core2 Duo, 8 GB RAM, 240 GB SSD) - with some separation difficulties...

goto 22:55 in the video, and you will see color profiles being applied to multiple monitors using "Color Correctons".
Thank you.

Thank you, very informative. I am particularly pleased that I see the same idiotic cursor and pointer jumps in the video as with my systems. I thought I was the only fool.

Its funny, when I open the sound settings I see three display port monitors (they are all on the same graphics card) individually identified.
But not when I look at the Color settings.
