exporting an environmental variable

Post by azjim43 »

Hi,
here is my environment:CPU: Dual Core AMD A4-3300M APU with Radeon HD Graphics (-MCP-)
speed/min/max: 801/800/1900 MHz Kernel: 5.4.0-47-generic x86_64 Up: 5h 24m
Mem: 1433.9/3411.1 MiB (42.0%) Storage: 465.76 GiB (4.5% used) Procs: 218
Shell: bash 5.0.17 inxi: 3.0.38 Running linux mint 20
I am trying to export for use by minicom: MINICOM="-c on -t -m" so that my minicom starts with the ANSI terminal and color on with the alt key as the meta key.
I having 0 success. I run the command line terminal with :export MINICOM="-c on -t -m" but the terminal still does not start in the ANSI mode with the color on. Where have the wheels come off?
Jim
