This webpage How to Get CPU Temperature on Ubuntu Linux mentions Psensor.
"With Psensor you can check the following:

The temperature of the motherboard and CPU sensors and NVidia GPUs
The temperature of the hard disk drives
The rotation speed of the fans
Monitor CPU usage"
