Hi,

Select the text you wish to print, then press Ctrl + P. On the window which should pop up, there's an option for printing only the selected text. Tested in Firefox 82.
I use Linux Mint 18.3 with Cinnamon in a VirtualBox VM for testing & sandboxing.

Termy,

Thanks for your reply! Unfortunately, I don't have that option. Please see attached.

Oh, odd. There might be a Firefox extension you can use, but tread carefully if you go that route. (some can be dodgy)

Is it because he has it printing to a pdf file (see his screenshot)? I wouldn't think that would make a difference, but can't think of any other reason why the print selection option isn't there.

Ah-hah. I've just noticed that, although I see the option, it's grayed out for me, but only in certain places on certain sites. For example, it didn't work when selecting text in this post window (as I type this post), but when I looked this issue up, I was brought to a page and in that page, selecting text to print was no longer grayed out.

This leads me to believe that it's possible this feature simply, for whatever reason, is not available on whichever site OP is using, or at least in whichever area thereon. Still, OP doesn't even see the option at all, meanwhile it's at least grayed out for me. :?

FIrefox version 83.0 (64-bit) fixed the problem.
