System freezes [solved]

Post by gills4prem »

Hi please can some one help me troubleshoot, I really want to make Linux work for me but I am having issues.

After using Linux Mint for some time the system freezes and I am unable to do anything, I have to hold down the power button and restart, I did look at the system reports application and there is no important information and the crash report is empty.

not sure if the below information can help.... I am new to Linux so please bear with me.

For ryzen CPUs install latest kernel version of 5.8 series from update manager. Reboot and test

Code: Select all

 uname -r
gives running kernel.
