Hello
I am running Linux Mint Cinnamon Edition 20.1.
I don't see recently used applications in the menu when I push the LM button located in the lower left cornen of the screen. I see only Recent Files.
This is annoying because I need to find manually the apps I was recently using every time I want to use it again.
My question is: how to enable Recent Apps in the menu, or where to find them?
Where are Recent Apps on Cinnamon on Mint 20.1?

Right click menu button>configure>menu tab> turn on recent.

Thank you. This was already enabled but I tried to disable it and see what happens. It seems that this options makes only the "Recent Files" folder show up. I am looking for recent apps. There are no recently ran apps in this folder, only files. On XFCE you can see the apps which were recently run, so I supposed this is also possible on more advanced Cinnamon

Are you looking to be able to access apps you use regularly or just random ones you just used?
I use an auto hiding panel on the left side of my screen to host launchers for apps and documents I use often and those whose names I can never remember (hence, very hard to find in the menu).
Maybe Cinnamenu (Or another applet) from Cinnamon Spices has the function you are looking for?

Why not put apps commonly used on the Panel (task bar)? Right click on the app in the list and an option of Panel, Desktop or Delete should appear. Click on Panel and it should be in the panel at the bottom. Where (horizontal order) can be changed by dragging.

I have applications that I need to use periodically. Adding them to favorites and then removing to make place for others is inconvenient. It's a pity that Cinnamon doesn't support Recent Apps. Cinnamenu doesn't have this functionality either.Tater wrote: ⤴Wed Apr 21, 2021 4:19 am Are you looking to be able to access apps you use regularly or just random ones you just used?

I haven't found any other addon supporting this feature either.

Stan, have you tried right clicking an open application and selecting "Pin to panel"? That's what I use.
