Tbh, I don't even remember installing wine.
Is it possible it was one of the default software?

Anyway, just tried to uninstall it and it reminded me I've already given it a got, still finding issues:

Code: Select all

Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
You might want to run 'apt --fix-broken install' to correct these.
The following packages have unmet dependencies.
 wine1.6-i386:i386 : Depends: wine1.6:any (= 1:1.6.2-0ubuntu14.2)
Recommends: libp11-kit-gnome-keyring:i386 but it is not going to be installed
Recommends: libpng12-0:i386 but it is not going to be installed
 winetricks : Depends: wine
E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt --fix-broken install' with no packages (or specify a solution).
And if I run

Code: Select all

apt --fix-broken install
it just gives me this list

apt

Hey, thank you.

Would you be able to tell me how? Or addressing me to where to look for it?
See if you can remove the Xenial repos in Software Sources, Additional Repositories. This might help:

Yas! It worked!

I followed what they say in that page, then I updated through Update Manager, went into the terminal for a quick update/upgrade/autoremove and everything was back to functioning again. :D

I believe the problem Xenial/Focal might have been caused by the Signal desktop app?

Anyway, thank you very much for your help. You're amazing.
Wish you all the best!

https://askubuntu.com/questions/691630/ ... ry-install
I didn't follow these instructions exactly. Here is what I did:
Fall back to an old Timeshift snapshot, Then open Update Manager and click refresh. Uncheck everything except Libre Office, then click Install Updates. When it fails, issue these terminal commands.
sudo apt-get remove openoffice-debian-menus
sudo dpkg -r --force-all openoffice-debian-menus
sudo apt-get install -f
If you see errors/broken packages you will have to fall back to an older Timeshift snapshot and try again. I had to fall back to August 11th 2021. If you see no errors in the terminal after executing these commands, refresh Update Manager again. Uncheck everything except Libre Office, then click Install Updates. If Libre Office can update with no errors or broken packages, you are (almost) good to go. Make a new Timeshift snapshot before you do anything else.
