Hi, I have an old iMac G5 and i lost the admin password, I tried booting from a USB bootable with Linux Mint, but it wont see it.
Tried a hard reset command R, now I'm in the terminal but cant reset the password,
Can I install from being in terminal with installation codes..? Need help plz...

This will not work with any Linux Mint. You need a Linux system that supports IBM G5 PPC processors...
...and if I remember correctly the PPCs did not boot from USB

Lesson Learned: Burn a Disc Instead!
I wanted you to understand the frustration of trying to do things with a USB flash drive before telling you to bite the bullet and burn a DVD-R disk with the distro of your choosing. You can burn a CD-R, but that usually means trimming the Linux distro to fit on a disc. With DVD-R you’ve got lots of room for distros approaching 1 GB in size.
