Setting the thumbnail image for a video

Post by Martin1001 »

I have folders containing video files. Most video files are displayed with neat thumbnail images, but for some there's just a grey rectangle where the thumbnail image should be. I'd like to replace each grey rectangle with an image from the video.

There are instructions on "How to set the thumbnail image for a video on Windows 10" at:

How do I do this with Linux Mint / Firefox / Nemo 4.4.3?
