Solution to messed up File System from trackball slip

Post by johnlvs2run »

The trackball slipped while transferring files from a USB to a new install of 19.3 and all of a sudden the file systems on both of them were completely messed up. All the files were in bold and I wasn't able to change them.

The solution was to reinstall 19.3, reformat the USB for my files, transfer the files, and this time it worked perfectly. Apparently the problem was that (wild guess) the USB for my files was not completely formatted the first time.
