[SOLVED] No cursor in xfce4-notes, in Cinnamon 20.2

Post by ineuw »

I rely on xfce4-notes extensively, and recently the text cursor disappeared (but only in the app). I type or select text blindly, which makes for poor work . How can I correct this?

I did a small amount of google searching with different keywords but nothing remotely approaching your issue popped up. When xfce4-notes is run it creates a file: /home/your.username/.config/xfce4-notes.css, which loads yet another .css file out of /usr. Based on that, you might try changing the Cinnamon theme to see if that makes any difference.

Again much thanks. I also searched before posting. I saw the .css file but didn't know what to add. But now, at least I have an idea. I was under the impression that that it's managed by X.
