I opened a Linux Mint page and instead of special French characters I saw this:

I copied the Windows fonts into a .fonts folder I created, as advised in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=90&t=344328&p=1982628&h ... e#p1982628
Didn't work.
How can I fix this?
EDIT It seems to be a problem with the Linux Mint page, because I can see special French characters in the Figaro website.
