Software Manager stopped working

Uninstalled Google Chrome that was giving me grief and stopped storing local usernames and passwords. Went to Software Manager to uninstall, rebooted and tried to enter software manager again to reinstall google. Getting spinning icon but no GUI popping up

Tried: sudo apt-get update
Then: sudo apt-get --reinstall --install-recommends install mintinstall
Then: mintinstall which resulted in:

Hi craiga and welcome to the forum.

I'm wondering if 'nuvola' is https://nuvola.tiliado.eu/nuvola/mint/ but anyway, to be in a position to help you we need to know the details of your computer.

The easiest way to do this is for you to open your Terminal and paste

The last time I recall seeing nuvola was when installing SiriusXM Version 1.7 program. I'm not sure what it is for but was involved in the application

The siruisXP and surfshark programs work great. I'm just not able to get the Software Manager to open to install and update programs Thanks for any help you can provide
