Wifi keeps dropping QCA9377

Post by Abfinz »

Greetings all,

I've been away from Linux for quite a while, but I decided to install Mint on my laptop as a way to work my way back in. However, my WiFi will intermittently drop out even though it says that it's still working. Resetting the network manager fixes it for a short time, but then it just goes out again.

A few things you might try (one at a time):

1. Restart router & machine.
2. Disable IPv6: https://easylinuxtipsproject.blogspot.c ... html#ID2.2
3. Update to the 5.8 or 5.11 kernel

Edit: I'm not sure if it applies, but also see #2.3 at that same link.

Hey, have you tried sleeper12's solution yet?

The common solution is the Kernel, so please keep us posted if it's resolved or if it's a problem of a different nature. 🙂
