so im only going to post it in here...

hey and thanks for taking the time for reading this, i am having trouble with me wifi adapter, it is a belkin N F5d8053v6 which i believe runs off rt2870 however im not to sure, i have had all sorts of trouble installing it with mint 7 x64 so ive decided to change back to 5lts, everytime i have tried to install the driver using ndiswrapper it always says unable to see if hardware is present, click ok, and then it says hardware is present, i then click configure hardware and apparently no network configuration tools, im not sure if i have the right drivers for the adapter for ndiswrapper but they came with the cd with the adapter. the adapter itself is plugged into one of
the motherboards rear connections and everything else seems to work fine, i couldnt connect it via ethernet before as it is a pc upstairs however after i finish installing 5 i shall take it down and connect it, here is my lsusb and lspci from mint v7, thought i should give as much info as possible...

Also how do i run updates of all packages to do with networking?

Even though it's a gentoo wiki article, it should still apply. Look about half way down. It appears as though you need to edit the headers of two files to get it to create the adapter properly.
